Analysts were overwhelmed by the volume of reports and hesitant to trust AI-generated annotations. The early version of READ was unintuitive and opaque, causing more friction than relief. Usability issues and lack of transparency blocked adoption, even with powerful tech behind the scenes. I worked directly with analysts to uncover pain points and redesign the interface. Features like Cascading Entities reduced manual corrections, while Manual Rules ensured annotation consistency. A new Performance Dashboard gave users visibility into the AI’s accuracy—building trust through transparency.
Analysts spent less time on repetitive edits and more time on actual analysis. Confidence in the AI grew as users could see—and influence—how decisions were made. These changes led to higher engagement, faster workflows, and wider adoption across teams.
